The Women's NICU provides life-saving care to around 1,500 premature and critically ill babies each year for all Victorians. But their support goes beyond medicine. Families are welcomed into a space where they are encouraged to be part of their baby’s journey, offered resources to navigate the NICU experience, and given the opportunity to create lasting memories, no matter the outcome.

The Women’s NICU also leads internationally recognised research, pioneering new treatments to improve survival rates and long-term outcomes for newborns. From groundbreaking clinical trials to long-term studies that follow premature babies into adulthood, their work is shaping the future of neonatal care.
